WE travelled up to the toboggan station by cable car, there are a number of cafes there to stop for refreshments if you wish. The queue for the toboggans was about 30 people long and it took about 20 mins to board our wicker vehicle....More

Debated whether to do this or not as always unsure of overly touristy things but glad we did it as it's a one-off. E30 for 2 people, good fun and lasted longer than we thought. The runners do make it more exciting by gently swerving...More

Worth doing if you get there before the cruise ships arrive...it is rather expensive 35 euro For a couple....but it is something that is unique to Funshall....it does not take long for the 2 Klm ride

Worth it - its a life experience. Hurtle down the steepest (public) road and judge for yourself! Quite the thing to do!

A must when visiting Madeira...so much fun! It is worth finding out when the cruise ships arrive, if avoided you will save a great deal of time.

Yes. Leave via the entrance the sled came in at. Turn left down the hill. Take the first street on the right. Take the bus to the centre town. It stops on the sea front. 1.95.euros.

you will just walk down no need for map. if somehow you will decide to take taxi don't pay more than 8pounds as they will try to rip you off saying 20 and then going down to 10. so offer 8 if you don't want walk.
