Hello! We are The Tourists’ Affairs.

Travelling, history and gastronomy are our passions!

But what really motivated and drove us for over 4 years? Not just showing the touristic points of Portugal, which are unique and unforgettable. But to find out new experiences, new remote places, and show them to friends, which is how we treat all of those who seek our services.

And, as good frinds, we know how to listen. So you will find on this website the seccao Make your own Tour, where you can tell us yoursefl what kind of experience you would like to have. We also know how to give good advice, as our tours of the North, Centre and South of Portugal show. And we like to surprise our customers, of course. Check our Special Tours and Multi Day Tours section to know what we are talking about.

Our walking tour around Barcelos (town and Thursday market) and Viana do Castello (cathedral and town) with João was a nice and enjoyable experience with interesting & fun facts and pastry tasting included! Hey Katka, It was definitely a special day. We've been working with Habitat for Humanity and it's always an awesome experience to be able and get to know all the people that go out of their ways to help others. This day in particular was even a bit special for the fact that I was getting to know some of... More

We arranged two day tours north of Porto through Portugal Premium Tours. Lucky for us, they called upon Joao from Tourists' Affairs to be our guide. We spent two delightful days touring the Alvarinho area and Park Geres. I would certainly echo other reviewers who found Joao very knowledgeable, very personable, and an excellent guide. He quickly perceives your interests... More

Thank you so much for your review. It's been a definite pleasure to have you and to be able to show some of these somewhat "hidden" gems we still have around. Do come back, there's plenty more to see and visit! Thank you. More

We had an amazing day with Joao - one of the best guides in the business! He was engaging, informative, and gracious. We had experiences that added immensely to our (too brief!!) time in Portugal; it was not just the typical hot spots for tourists. Joao really tailored the day to fit our preferences, and beyond wholeheartedly recommending The Tourists... More

Hello, Thank you very much for your review. I'm really happy that you enjoyed it, it's something that makes me feel really proud of this journey. You should look at this last trip as an introduction to Portugal! As you've seen, there's plenty more to see and visit. Hope you do come back. More

Booked a one day private tour of Braga. Our guide was very friendly and good fun to be with. Tour took in main sights of Braga itself and also other out of town sites of interest that we got to via a Merc mini bus van. Our only slight gripes being history buffs was that some of the sites were... More

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry it didn't go completely to your liking. Sometimes we don't specify too much on dates and years, keeping ourselves more to the general ages in order not to make it too much information and turn the tours into something boring. Thank you More

Our guide Isabel Leitao (who is an archeologist) was eager to show the beautiful city of Braga. Lots of information, also well related to the modern city. After the tour Isabel took time to sit with us, reply to questions and talk about daily life. Thumbs up for Isabel!

Our ship was stopping at Leixoes and we wanted a guided tour of Porto. We booked with The Tourists' Affairs through an agent and on the day we were met by Isabel and Joao. We had the most wonderful day with them and saw so much more of Porto than any cruise ship tour could offer. Both Isabel and Joao... More

Hello, We are really pleased to have had you in Porto for this day. One of the reasons we are in the private tour business is for the chance we have to really connect with the person or people we have with us. That means catering to personal preferences and rhythm. You're on vacations so, one thing we hate doing... More

Hello, It was a great day, around one of my personal favorite spots in Portugal. The Douro is definitely a continuous postcard view, and I recall hearing a "WOWWWW" as we came around every corner (it's a good sign, if you ask me). It was a pleasure to have such a nice family for a trip around this beautiful corner... More
