Apart for those who really go there for religeous reasons there is nothing you will have missed if you don't visit this place. For those interested in technics there is the old elevator with hydraulic (water) powering which may be worth a couple of minutes. The trip in it is your best bet to get up and down but not... More

Come on a sunny day to enjoy the beautiful views and the really unique staircase. The church at the top is only ok, but the many stairs are really special.

We had the opportunity to visit this venue again which is most impressive. This time we used the water driven Funicular to get from the bottom of some 600 steps to the top where you can find a hotel, restaurant and a cafe in addition to the Church.

If you can survive the 365 step climb, you'll love every minute of this experience. 😀 The greenery, the history, the amazing views, will all leave you in awe and at peace.

This place is magnificent. You have to get there to see this place. Seeing is believing. The site has life size Stations of the Cross that have to be seen to be believed. Everything in this area including the view takes your breath away.

Dont worry about all those stairs, use teh elevator next door.... Very well preserved, well maintained church. If you want to be a real pilgrim, try going up the 610 stairs on your knees likle they did in olden times. Nice cafe bar on the top with great views

This is a really fun activity, don't miss it if you go to Braga! You can start at the bottom and walk all the way up (I did), or there is a boat ride that can bring you all the way to the top! The views along the way were all really great and once you get to the base... More

Take time to walk around the village; it's beautiful. We stopped here as part of a full day spent going through the national park with a private tour guide. It was one of the best days we spent in Portugal.

If you're visiting Braga don't miss this stunning place. Go to the top and take the stairs dowm. Once you're in the bottom, look back. You won't believe the beaty. It's just beautiful. Keep going all the way down and take the train to the top and marvel yourself with this 100% ecological transport system for just 1€ .

Thank Victor V
