Baroque Church

Like most churches I've seen around the city, it's very beautiful, in a classical baroque style. I wouldn't say is a must to see.

The church was filled with locals during the service in session as I arrived. It was peaceful. The locals like their seats so be prepared to be ushered into a different location. Overall a beautiful church with many various inlays. I would come back here.

Rococo style church with famous blue-tiled fasade located in a downtown Porto. It is worth your time to stop, and visit. It's conveniently located by the University of Porto (across the street), and beautiful garden.

This is a church that alway surprises all my friends. It's very humble facade doesn't promise much, but the interior is breathtaking. All covered with golden gilded wood, impeccable beauty. The organ is a piece of art. I would recommend visiting this church as you will find something to remember

Beautiful exemple of Portuguese Rocócó from XVIII century. Impressive tiles outside on the walls! Easy to visit, as location is very central. The image used here as a representation is not correct - it is from Igreja de Carmelitas, which is right next door to this one (nice also!).

The church is all tiled on the outside and just a great work of art. If you are in the area then i highly recommend it.

There are beautiful tiles outside of this church. It's right down the street from the Harry Potter bookstore and Clergios Tower. Worth a stop if you are in this area.

one of the top gothic church monuments Porto has to offer but don't miss Igrega dos Congregados, probably the best.

My wife, two children, relatives and I visited Porto in August 2016. I went to this church by myself. The Igreja do Carmo is a wonderful church. All of Porto's churches are worth a visit. The outstanding feature however is outside and the large tiles (azulejos) on the side of the building.
