You are in one of the oldest cities in the world, walk through it even if you are not a fan of ancient history.

Beautiful ampitheatre set in heart of Athens below the Acropolis. Obviously not used but was meant to be first ever theatre.

The Theater of Dionysus is worth to stop by, when you visit the Acropolis Hill of Athens. I liked the floor mosaic and the figurines around the ruins of the walls of the theater.

Well maintained and the plaque next to it gives great information about the place in three languages. Included in the euro 30.00 advance ticket which my travel agent bought for me and avoided having to stand in queue.

Another tremendous site to visit within the Acropolis area. Worthwhile visiting when an actual theatre is taking place.

A wonderful ancient theatre and when you look at it just try to imagine the live scenes thousands of years back...
