Beautiful architecture in this 3-building academy of Athens. We were lucky to walk by at night time and see the buildings beautifully lit.

Good looking building. I was allowed to go inside and take pictures. The staff was helpful and spend a few minutes chatting with them.

What makes this landmark great is it gives you a visual of how ancient buildings would have looked like...the columns, pediments, the sphinx, statues, et al. You don't have to go inside to appreciate it. In addition, statues of Plato and Socrates flank the building...More

We met at the academy for the start of the free walking tour. The building is magnificent with some really nice statues and carvings.

we visited this area with our guide and it was amazing. a definitely must see when visiting Athens. it is very close to other main attractions aswell. you will love it if you are into art
