Another European shopping street but not as nice as most of them. Nothing special about it. Many people, popular brand stores.

We had heard about the famous Ermou Shopping Street and went there to check it out, full of high expectations. Disappointing area! There are lots of people there, sharing the rather narrow street with too many cars, but apart from some interesting shops, there is...More

This shopping street can be found in any other European city. Crowded and noisy. Nice shops but the same typical chains; Zara, h&m, massimo dutti etc. BUt the shoe shops seems tone more unique. .

The part of Ermou Street close to Syntagma is a pedestrian shopping area. A church is worth seeing: the Panaghia Kapnikaréa Church is a unique Byzantine-style architecture (11th century).

Lot of street cafes, street vendors, souvenir and other shops. Gets very busy, watch out for pick picketers and pedlers!

Monastiraki
Monastiraki is a souvenir-hunting enclave with a
difference. Apart from the dramatic backdrop of the
Acropolis, its network of alleys and pedestrianized
streets surround the remains of both the Greek and
Roman agoras, adding the quaint concept that this is
where the ancients also came to shop. Named after the
tiny monastery church at its center, Monastiraki
Square is a lively spot by day or night, with street
