You can find just about everything on Ermou street: shops of all kinds, restaurants, cafes, churches, etc. It connects Syntagma square to Gazi. Depending on the time of day, it usually is packed.

We walked along Ermou to stretch our legs and do a little window shopping. Lots of tourist shops and cafes. Just be mindful of your personal belongings.

It was fun to walk on the Ermou street. The are many of the usual chain stores but also some interesting local stores. It is always easy to step away from the shopping street and visit one of the many restaurants in the adjacent blocks.

Roman agoras, adding the quaint concept that this is
where the ancients also came to shop. Named after the
tiny monastery church at its center, Monastiraki
