Ermou street is very nice and alive with lots of high end brands. It's the main shopping street at Athens so that it is overcrowded all the time especially from sunset to late night. During sale time the shopping there will be a hard mission....More

This (mostly) pedestrian mall consists primarily of shops for international brands, so it generally isn't all that interesting as a tourist. However, the end points (Monastiraki and Syntagma) are somewhat interesting in their own right, and you can find some diamonds in the rough along...More

From One end to the other, Ermou Street will give you a wonderful slice of Athens, at least for the tourist. Watch the changing of the guard to the exchanging of items at the flea market, it’s a wonderful mix.

Connecting two prestigious squares Monastiraki and Zingatma, Ermou Street is largely pedestrian. it is intersected in the middle by the presence of a small square where is a beautiful little church. Needless to say, the shops with the main brands are there, and the streets...More

Very crowded and hard to navigate; however, you can find anything you would possibly like to buy here; the break dance performers were the best part of this whole adventure; and you can see how the city changes as you walk down to Monastirki

This is not a tourist destination, but it's a normal street in Athens. The street is full of shops and lots of people.

Street- promenade that starts from Syntagma Square and leads to Monastiraki metro station. From the left side is Plaka, under Acropolis. This zone so alive, 24 hours a day, full of caffes, restaurants, tavernas, shops, gift shops, street artists. Tourists from all around the world....More

It's worth a stroll for the people watching and window shopping. Fairly normal Athens shopping though. If you don't walk this route on purpose you will on accident. Enjoy.

A nice pedestrian street connecting Syntagma square to Monastiraki square with shops and restaurants on the sides. Very popular place and a good place for shopping.

Monastiraki
Monastiraki is a souvenir-hunting enclave with a
difference. Apart from the dramatic backdrop of the
Acropolis, its network of alleys and pedestrianized
streets surround the remains of both the Greek and
Roman agoras, adding the quaint concept that this is
where the ancients also came to shop. Named after the
tiny monastery church at its center, Monastiraki
Square is a lively spot by day or night, with street
