I love this area of Athens! There are a lot of great shops, quaint cobblestone streets, restaurants and cafes. It's definitely worth exploring!

So nice to sit at a cafe and listen to the church bells, watch families gather in their Sunday best, and watch the guards. All cafes are great and good prices.

The Plaka is the shopping and eating district in Athens and affords the visitor a wonderful centralized location to do both.

A quaint area that is a must. Quiet touristy, but then again, we are tourists. Great place to pick up souvenir and gifts for yourself or others. Good places to eat to

It was nice to walk around for an hour but the shops became repetitive and it was crowded. Also the sidewalks and streets were sometimes difficult to manage.

We had dinner here and spent the evening wandering the shops. Sidewalk cafes, good food and touristy type shops. I guess this is the touristy "Disneyland" area of Athens - but it was clean, charming and very welcoming.

Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains
the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay

Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to
stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a
pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious
traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a
