Great view of the Parthenon

This is a great place to see the Acropolis in an alternative way and also a great place to drink some beers and see the city from above!

Amazing view of the Acropolis. Well worth the walk up, very peaceful and easy to find. Good way to burn those baklava calories off

This is a wooded area and a really niceplace to walk. There is a monument at the top of the hillif you decide to go to the top. Also an intersting small church and Socraties Prison. No cost and the open top bus stops here so worth a visit if you wnat somewhere peacefull and shaded.

We climbed Filoppapos Hill before sunset to see the red light of sunset over Acropolis. On this side the view is amazing. Looking south, the sea and Pirae harbour are beautiful. The Athens roads and streets organisation can be seen perfectly. We then walked down and up to Pnyx, another top view over Parthenon at sunset.

After spending more time than I had expected to at the Acropolis (who doesn't), I had only a short while to explore Philoappos Hill. Naturally, I didn't get very far, and certainly got nowhere close to the summit, but did manage to poke around the Prison of Socrates and the Church of Agios Demetrios Loumbardiaris. The former was disappointing, not... More

Great view from the top! The walk up can be difficult for older people or with disabilities but the trip is rewarding. The area is very congested with people so be prepared. Enjoy your trip it is well worth it!

Lots of major and minor trails, plenty of signs to explain some of the early settlements. I particularly liked the abandoned early suburb to the west, running up the ruts in the old stone road. This was a very early settlement that faded when the higher walls were built. Pre-war, a big stadium was built there as a fascist project,... More

Doesn't take long to walk up to the summit of this hill. Whilst the monument at the top is not spectacular, you get amazing views overlooking the Acropolis.

This is not one of the major attractions in Athens but if you have some extra time go there. The view is beautiful and the walk in the park is very enjoyable.

Amazing view of Athena from this hill near Acropolis. Panoramic view and very fresh air. Only 20 min walk from Acropolis.
