Excellent exposition of the way Cretans lived not so long ago. Interesting, informative and comprehensive. These people worked unbelievably hard and still do. Good visit for anyone who grew up in a town or city.

An excellent and wide-ranging collection, well set-out and with good information. Also try the new folklore museum in Zaros, not too far away

Not really my sort of museum but it is well laid out and has many interesting items of life on Crete up until the war. Be careful in spotting the place. It took me 3 passes through the village to spot the sign.

I did not expect to find such a museum in the middle of Crete. An excellent job! Very accurate reconstruction of life in Crete during previous times.

This tiny village seems to have poured its heart into displaying and explaining traditional Cretan life. Exhibits are beautifully displayed with excellent signage in English.

Don't miss this very authentic, small museum dedicated to Cretan history of every day life. Vori is a small village worth walking through.

This is small museum (as almost all in Heraklion), which represents daily life of Cretan family. On one side - it's quite boring. On the other - you can see how they were using some simple materials in interesting ways. As for me, I have...More
