I found this Christian Orthodox Cathedral to be the most attractive of all the Cathedrals and churches we saw in Heraklion, or on the whole of Crete actually. From the outside it is imposing, tucked away in old Heraklion close to some good restaurants. Inside...More

Small but Amazing. if you have 15 min, you need to look. Reconditioned, colourful, clean. Saint Minas is the most beautiful church in Heraklion.

Amazing to look at inside but it is more of a working cathedral than a tourist attraction. Plenty of people trying to get their prayers done whilst I was walking around in my flip flops. I can only apologise.

Lovely old building, interesting and worth a visit. Well cared for. There is a dress code as one would expect in buildings of this nature.

A very impressive building close to the centre of town and easy to see. Its history is just as interesting as the rest of Crete.

This cathedral is beautiful (from the outside). I haven't been inside but even just looking at it from the outside is worth it. Some cafes nearby to sit and look at the cathedral from (although I haven't tried them so can't comment on them!).
