What a great city centre! An historic fountain with beautiful surroundings and a ton of historical buildings as well as cafes serving great Crete food which is slightly different than Greek food! There are wide walkways and shopping areas with the possibility of spending money...More

This is the central fountain, the most cosmopolitic place on Heraklion. The big market street ends there as well as it has many other businesses arround. On your trip there be sure to check it out and enjoy the local products arround it.

Heard a lot about that fountain. I expected being bigger! But it's really nice and with many cafeterias and shops around.

Located about half way up the main pedestrianised street of the old town and surrounded by bars and restaurants. The fountain itself is pretty enough without being anything starting but it’s a good area to sit and watch the world go by over a drink.
