Lovely old castle and part of the local history and the defence of the port. Simply striking and worth taking time in this old town to view.

I have visited Koules several times and always loved it. The building is so historic, athmospheric and you can almost travel back in time when you are there. The displays and location are impressive and it is a nice walk by the sea just to...More

The old castle defended the fort. It is a perfect way to soak in some interesting history and architecture on a hot day. Because of small windows, high ceilings and massively thick stone wall, it is markedly cooler than the outside, which is wonderful on...More

We visited while waiting to be able to check in to our nearby hotel. This was worth the 2 Euro entrance fee. We learned about the history of the fort and had fun exploring all the areas. There are great views of the harbor!

Standing guarding the harbour this fort is easy to find. It's only 2euro to enter and for that you get good info on the displays inside and some good views from the roof. Easy way to spend an hour
