Perfect size museum for a quick drop in, but a good exhibition. There were small collections from ancient Greece and the Minoans, through to more modern times, well displayed.

What great information on pottery bakers and the making of local traditional textiles and patterns, a tribute to living with nature on a daily basis. The museum is situated in a lovely old building in great condition, a nice inner garden, great atmosphere.

Interesting and varied artefacts, from ploughs to photos to embroidery. A beautifully preserved room of hangings carpets and cushions all embroiled in Rethymo style.

This little museum is a tribute to the arts and crafts of a more rustic time. I really enjoyed the reconstructions of local shops - the barbers, saddles, coffee shop and coppersmiths. Upstairs, there were collections of pottery, weaving and other textile industries, including a...More

Well laid out, cool inside and pretty garden outside. Amazed at the lace and embroidery and particularly liked the recreation of the sitting room where all the embroidery was attributed to a very special lady. It was a moving tribute to their Grandmother. Well worth...More
