So glad to have visited this very special place. A truly uplifting experience. Not suitable at all for anyone who is unfit or with mobility issues because of the steps. Good cardio-vascular exercise!

This is a unique and unusual building built into a cliff face, looked after by a few monks. Your have to wear long trousers (men) and skirts (Women) but it is worth it

Dramatically positioned on the side of a cliff with a stunning view of the surrounding coast, this old monastery is well worth a visit on the beautiful island of Amorgos! Bit of a walk up steps to get there so might be tricky for people...More

Made it to the top and the way this is built into the cliff face is amazing. The views are stunning from the windows. Pity only a very small part is accessible which after climbing all the way up feels a bit of an anti-climax....More
