While in Santorini, we did the morning trip to the hot springs and the volcano. The hot springs is not what you expect it to be. The water is maybe lukewarm and the sulfur or chemicals from the rock cause the water to be a...More

We enjoyed very much our volcano tour, altghou it's not that spectacular and the hike was longer and more difficult than what we expected (too hot at noon in August). But you don't get to walk on a volcano everyday. The black rooks and dried...More

Do not waist your time or money. A huge disappointment, its just a craggy rock with zero to see or do when you step on. The crater is not even a crater, its just a bit of a hole in the ground with a small...More

Only good thing about the tour is that view from the volcano was amazing, But the walk on the volcano with sun on head is unbearable (no shelter - it's a volcano!!). Without a good walking shoes, life become even more difficult. Bring water &...More

We did this as a part of an organised trip and it was great to get active on the active volcano and learn about what Santorini was in the past, the current dormant status and what may happen in the future.

Unique experience visiting the active vulcanic Kameni islands. Take the tour from the new port, to avoid the extra cost, time loss and queue to get down to the old port. The entry of the large vulcanic island costs 2,50 pp so bring small change....More

Great tourist attraction! Must see in Santorini! Great way to spend the day, hiking or otherwise. Fun with your family, or walking around with the kids! Don't forget your sunblock ok!?

The volcano is a must see. We took a boat to the volcano and paid 2.50 euro to get in. There are brochures in most languages to give information on the volcano. We also had a guide that gave us useful information. In the summer...More

Reasonably easy to walk up, although not a lot to see while you're walking. However view of the caldera from the top is pretty spectacular.

Its probably the main attraction there. Worth a visit especialy if you never seen a volcano before. Lovely views. It is a hard walk on stones though in scorching sun.

I agree with kcarters. It's not an easy climb at times and the footing is always unstable, so I'd advise that you leave it for another visit. The view is amazing but not worth the danger for you

You don't have to be strong but definitely steady. The boats moor about 100-150m away (they are generally too big to get in closer) so you have to be capable of making the swim there and back. If you have coloured hair don't... More
