We cycled up from Kos town to this under-stated ancient site. The scale and detail of masonry workmanship is breathtaking. Make sure to visit the small museum with examples of beautiful engravings. The views from the upper levels are superb. Great cafe in nearby village on the way back!

spectacular views and great ruins, this is a great day out seeing the first hospital in the world. the grounds are lovely and the area is very interesting. It is worth being on a tour so that you get the full history and the mythology of the site

The nicest attraction in Kos is the Asklepion, for the history and for the magnific view,of the coast of Asia;, and the island of Kos; it's the most famous monument on Kos, an ancient hospital ,and also at the east an Roman complex of Thermal baths,( in the Roman period); on the second terrace was a large altar for priests;... We cycled to this wonderful location. Nominal fee ( if you buy the special deal at Kos Castle it is even better value 3 venues cheaper) An amazing piece of heritage with views to die for looking out toward Kos & Turkish coast beyond. Make the effort on a bike. Great ride down again to beautiful Kos.

A historical site well worth visiting , we went as a group and had a very informative and amusing guide. It's well worth the climb up the steps for the view.

We enjoyed our wander around this three tier temple which in parts remains in very good condition, making it an easy to imagine how it would have been when built. Cost was €8 each. Was very hot now in early May walking around so definitely take water with you.

Short trip from Kos town by bike. Uphill to go but not too dramatic. We did it with a 7 year old. She suffered a bit but enjoyed it. Good news is that it is all downhill to come back! Spectacular view from the site. Good site but not exceptional. Worth the journey because of the bike trip, would have... More

Situated on the outskirts of Kos town, free car park but entry fee, well worth a visit for history buffs nice way to kill an hour or two. After entry gate we turned left to follow the path up to the museum buildings good decision as the path gently sloped up to the top of the site lots to take... More

So me and my partner visited.. Drove into the car park and walked to the gates which we then found out we had to pay 8€ each.. Didn't realise we would have to pay but we did and we walked into the attraction.. The signs were not very good! Not a great deal of information.. Seemed to be more signs... More

Fascinating place. Visited twice, once with a guided tour and another separately. Highly recommend. Recommend reading up before hand, makes the visit more interesting. Amazing views as well.
