A relatively well preserved castle of the era, it is a magnificant vantage point to look out towards the smaller islands of Halki and beyond. It's not the Tower of London, it's an ancient castle on a Greek island, go there to take in the...More

Easier to climb than monolithios and the view is just as breathtaking. Mind the sharp right turn to the car park or stay at the bottom. Café is quaint and fresh squeezed orange even has the pips and pith. How genuine is that? Toilets are...More

The best preserved castle on the west coast of Rhodes but still not much more than a ruin. Easy climb up to admire the view

Kritinia Castle is a perfect place for the sunset view. One of the "must-see" places on the island. Very convenient place for parking and close to the main road. We had climbed to the very top of the ruins with two kids - no challenges...More

Views are spectacular but come early for good parking and avoiding the heat. Access is steep and you need reasonable footwear. There's a "rustic" cafe on site that's ok for a pit stop.

this is one of those places that require use of a hire car as it is very secluded, but that really adds to its charm, and the views are amazing. Set at the top of a cliff about half way up the west side of...More

I've been coming to this island for 50 years, why did I not visit this before? Built by the Knights of St John in 15C it is on disrepair. Stunning views, aromatic scents of wild flowers & free toilets! Fresh orange juice and few tourists.

Worth a visit and it's free. The views from the ruined castle are stunning. There is a car park nearby but not much else!

Came here on a sunny day and it was a really nice trip to this site! We have enjoyed it a lot. The ruins are nice, maybe better in hiking shoes, not in the flip flops, as in my case.

No other castle on Rhodes has as many walls that are still standing. Wonderful walk around where you can see where many of the rooms of the castle were and it offers great views

I think you really need a car. There are busses around the island but it could take a while. The island is really easy to drive around and the car rental is pretty cheap. We used Rodos cars and would definitely recommend... More
