It was an ok castle to visit when you have nothing else to do....for me I've seen way better but it's still worth the climb so just do it...

Very easy to access, be careful there. There are some slippery stones on the path. If you are able to climb up, then you will see very nice views. I recommend.

The castle is definitely worth visiting! The views to both Valtos beach and Parga town are great. Especially the view to Parga town was beautiful in the evening! We were lucky to be there during full moon, so we got amazing pictures. There is also...More

Interesting old Venetian castle and it was nice to look down on the beautiful town of Parga from this vantage point. There is a cafe at the top for those needing to relax after the walk up.

nice view from the terrace and nice walk up to the castle, on narrow streets with small shops; otherwise not very impressive

Quite a hike up to the top, need to wear sturdy shoes as slippy in places. Well worth the climb as views over the town and bay are stunning. Stopped half way up at the cafe and enjoyed fresh orange juice which was closing the...More

This is a must , a walk up the hill to the castle seems to be everyone’s first thing to do . Great views of the coastline and very historic place

Feel that you couldn't visit Parga without visiting the fort.Definitely worth the effort and breathlessness of the steep climb up as the views over the town and bay are stupendous - a photographer's dream.Amazing that it is free, as it certainly wouldn't be back home.Feel...More

Yes you can just go and wander around free of charge. Lovely views over Parga bay. Don't know about the cafe opening times but expect it would be expensive. It's not a vast area to visit so cafes in town are aplenty.

Just walk up the pedestrian street at the back of the beach. It is lined with shops and bars, so you can just stroll up the street at your own pace. At the top of the street just turn left and you have arrived. Well worth... More
