Whilst the car journey to the top may not be to everyone's taste, the reward (on a clear day) are the most fantastic views of Corfu and beyond.

We loved the winding roads up the mountain. Any car should handle this easily. The views are spectacular. The aerials don't really detract from the experience. The chapel is peaceful, cool and very impressive. Good ice cream from the small cafe with friendly service.

We drove up to the top - quite a scary drive, lots of hairpins and steep roads but it was worth it for the views of the whole island. Spectacular. The church at the top is worth a visit, unlike the cafe at the top...More

You have to go to the top for the views! Just incredible! It's a bit windy at the top so remember a jumper or scarf.

From this, the highest spot on Corfu you can actually see Italy they say, 135 km away! It's a determined driver to get to the top of the mountain but stick with it, you won't be disappointed. Yes, as many others have rightly said you...More

The way up to the mountain is so exciting. This place is special, the view is very nice. There is a small monastery on top.

we took a car up in the early morning, stopping on the way in a charming cafe for a capuccino. The tiny church at the top was truly lovely and the views over Albania were stunning. Only problem,an enormous telephone mast has been erected right...More

Great Views but the top is spoiled by the many telephone masts that have been built. Being the highest point on the island you can understand why but it does spoil it a bit

A great destination for Island views, mainland Greece and Albanian coast. Car parking at the top of the mountain gives the views and a restuarant and monastery to visit. As has been said by others modern tech has interferred with the view south but a...More

Yes the main car route up the mountain continues to the north of the island but you won't get to the top of the mountain just in the car. I didn't hire a car so couldn't comment on the route on the north side of the mountain... More

If you want to walk the whole way, it's probably best to go from Barbati. Make sure you take a map with you because some of the paths are pretty well hidden. It took me 5 hours in total, starting and ending at ipsos beach.
