Don't miss the Treasury of Atreus aka the Tomb of Agamemnon across the street from the entrance of Ancient Mycenae. This site is included with the admission to Ancient Mycenae, but it is really easy to miss if you are not specifically looking for it....More

The Citadel and Treasury of Atreus is a huge tomb from which you can get a feel for the engineering skills of the ancients. Worth a short stop.

If you are in mycenae, visit every part of the site. The dome is pretty amazing. Now they are wornking on the entrance so it has many iron beams, making it less attractive, but its ok

This place is enormous and was fortified over 3000 years ago. It is about a mile before the main Mycenae city.

Agamemnon's Tomb or the Treasury of Atreus is an impressive construction and provided an extra dimension in April when we visited because the entrance was swarming with bees that one carefully ignored as one entered the beehive tomb.

The tomb of Agamemnon, as the Treasury of Atreus is also known as, is located a short distance from the rest of the main Mycenae site (and certainly within comfortable walking distance if required). I drove there as it was on the way out and...More

Included in the ticket for the ruins of Mycenae. A short walk down the road from the citadel. Amazing site to visit. The age of the site is very impressive. One of the most impressive ancient buildings in Greece. The brick work inside is beautiful....More

This Treasury of Atreus is separate of archeological sites (before them) and is a special one, because of special architecture.
