An impressive building with a great story from a forgotten era. You get a lot of interesting info when you get to the museum nearby(it's on the same ticket). You get to see the famous golden Agamemnon mask found there, in the museum(though only a replica). A good place to visit when you're going to the Peloponnese.

The place is very much walkable from the ruins of Mycenea. The behive dome was very interesting and it was a different experience . If you are part of any group tours the guides will tell you about the hidden place. If some good lighting arrangements are done inside the place it would have given more beauty to the inside... If you go to Mycenae, don't miss this tombsite. It is cool in architecture and temperature. There are lots of bees buzzing around but they don't seem to bother. It takes great pictures, too

What a surprise to find so many intact ruins and so much history revealed in the explanatory signs. The museum is pretty good too. Take a walk around the back of the Citadel and go down into the tunnel leading to where the spring was formerly. At least 100 steps down, but you'll need a torch, flashlight or smart phone... More

After you visit the ruins and the museum, stop by the Treasury of Atreus. It's no big shock after having seen Clytemnestra's tomb. The Ossiary is really just a dark and dusty room. However, it's pretty epic to walk into the tomb down the path, with the stone walls on the sides. It's a transporting experience. No restrooms/WCs or food... More

This is truly a very interesting sight/site. The info regarding the construction of the place is amazing. Sadly we have been on " guided timed tours" and never nough time to really study the architecture. HOWEVER, worth any time you have.

Such a fantastic monument that is well worth the trip to get to. The fact that you are able to enter into this structure and walk around the tholos tomb is awe inspiring. The corridor is huge and even though the side chamber is shut off for safety reasons, you can still look inside and she how massive this structure... More

Epidaurus was included in this tour but will be covered in another review. The tour was with key tours and our tour guide was Maria who was really a fount of information. It was a really fun tour. we started out from Athens, drove to the Corinth canal where we took pictures, has a bit to eat, then we drove... More
