This is on the Olympia site and had great antiquities. Our tour guide selected items to tell us about which was nice.

I've been to so many museums but this one has so many unusual things to see.. to master placing together these statues in the small pieces that have been puzzle placed together! Amazing!

This museum stop is a quick walk-through, maybe 1 - 2 hrs max, but really helps you understand the history and culture of it's nearby Olympia village/ruins based on all of the artifacts uncovered and on display here. The bathroom sink water stopped working and...More

Brilliant well signed museum full of relevant artefacts, takes you through a journey in time. Unbelievable items that survived from so long ago its hard to contemplate the skills they had. Amazing! How does glass survive so long, makes history enjoyable and thought provoking. Bring...More

Need to do this in conjunction with the archaeological site. Very interesting and very insightful. I would recommend the guided tour

A well worth visit - some of the artefacts have been moved indoors for preservation Lots of artefacts, friezes, statutes, spears to see. Go with a guide as they can explain quite a bit of the history Photos can be taken but with no flash

You buy a combined ticket to see the museums plus the site for 12 euros with children free. A great collection which took us about an hour to wander around. There was English information for all the displays.

Personally I love sculptures and so this museum was full of plasters, sculptures, war artifacts as well as daily artifacts even some erotica from the period. It is air conditioned and large enough to spend a fair amount of time.

Kids under the age of 18 are free. Lots of walking so wear appropriate foot wear. Make sure you have sunscreen on as you are in direct sunlight most of it. You can go into the museums to cool down as there are 3.
