The most spectacular beach in Alonnisos. We liked it better than the sandy Chrissi Milia, Kokkinokastro is a mix or gravel, sand and imposing red rocks over the bay. Especially picturesque at sunset. Some underwater life for snorkeling. The beach bar is smartly designed as a hut, but nothing special in terms of variety and service.

Steep red rocks, yellow sand, green pines. One of the most impressive beaches of the island. The right side is more stony. To be visited

A very beautiful beach in a bay that was created after the collapse of an ancient village. If you notice closely you'll see the remains of a stone wall. Archaeologists discovered that the bay was created more than 5000 years ago after an earthquake or some other phenomenon that made part of the land to sink. Nowadays it is a... More

organized beach with small pebbles. Gets deep quickly so kids need to be careful. Can get very crowded during the middle of the day. Go early.

We visited on a lovely summer day, but we had the misfortune to sit next to a birthday beach party of a 3-year old, which was very loud and annoying. The beach and scenery were very impressive, but the sea was nothing special. We ended up leaving in the middle of the day. Instead, we walked through a tiny path... More

Located app 15 min from Alonissos port. You will reach it though a beautiful route surrounded by pine trees. Crystal clear water with excellent visibility specially when it's not windy. You will notice the characteristic red soil and rocks in that area.

Nice quiet beach, with not very deep sea. Beach beds that they are a bit overpriced (5€). They dont charge for the beds after 5 pm however. Only problem was much walking to reach the beach (stairs + hill) .
