We visited this hidden gem in may. We were site seeing on our quad bike and came across a crazy paving road the width of a single car. We followed it and ended up in a small car park. Surprisingly cars were also there. We...More

We chose the overland route in a jeep (it can also be reached by boat) but it is still a decent walk in the heat (wear sturdy shoes)- but there was a lovely breeze. The views are stunningly beautiful - and due to its remoteness...More

Kastro is a must see if you are even vaguely interested in historical sites. It's right at the top of the island away from the crowds and yes there is a fair trek to get here but it is definitely worth it. We came across...More

Absolutely stunning place to visit. A bit of a hike so if possible don't wear flip flops! But it's worth it just for the photo opportunities and the views!

Such a stunning place and a real piece of Skithaian and Aegean history. Recommend a small 4x4 (or we took an ATV / Quad Bike) to cross the island from Skiathos town side. The journey over was almost as much fun and stunning as the...More

You can drive very close to it but the walk up into the ruined village does require walking on small rocks along paths. You can get a reasonable view of it from the small car park right at the bottom of the approach.
