Long walk from the Kastro at the top of the town but going to the beach is fine, it is the walk afterwards that is challenging. The water is nice to swim in, but there are bolders in the sea so wear suitable swimming shoes. There was quite a bit of rubbish on the beach this time which can be... More

We stayed on Skopelos for 2 weeks and visited this beach every day once we discovered it. The beach is small and used mostly by locals and the food at the taverna is simple but the best. Fresh calamari cooked to perfection, fresh anchovies, lovely moussaka and tzatziki. Georgios is a fantastic chef and Sophia and her children wonderful hosts.... More

This was our favorite beach on the island...it was not trying to be something it was not, there are prettier beaches but these all seemed to be either organised or lacking atmosphere...This is were we found most of the Greeks themselfs swimming and having family time...The taverna is like a proper old style Greek taverna (hard to find this on Skopelos),the... Spent half a day at this beach. Free sun beds from the taverna. We bought some snacks there which they brought down to us when they were ready. Possibly not the prettiest on the island but it was nice and close and we enjoyed it.

Absolutely loved this beach... Very peaceful and beautiful. It is about 2km north of the town. We walked but the walk is very up and down. It is worth the walk as the view of the town and the harbour is quite special... Make sure you take water with you as you will need to stop for a breather. The... More

We found this place on the map, staying in Skopelos town, and decided to have a walk one day. it is only about 45 min walk/stroll, first up the hill and then down another hill. you can also get there by car or moped. the beach is small but clean (pebbles) and the water is clear and clean (unlike on the beach... The Glifoneri beach might not have the most extravagant surroundings, but still this became my favourite one. The water is lovely and the bottom is sweet and sandy when you step in. An excellent beach for those of you who love to take a good swim. But the best thing is Sophias restaurant where you get to borrow the sunchairs... More
