The museum is in one of the old tobacco mansions. If learning about history and culture then I recomend this museum. There are some picturesque streets and houses nearby. Also some nice cafés, restaurants, antique shops etc.

This is one of the most beautiful folklore & historical museums I have ever been to. The building has been completely renovated and all citizens of Xanthi have contributed with their donations for the creation of this museum. Certainly worth visiting.
