Very nice museum, with a huge exhibition about Marstal's interesting past (as portrayed in 'We, the drowned'). With a great playground in the center.

Surprisingly large building, stuffed full with models of sailing ships, paintings of ships and the sea, maps of Danish trade routes, general nautical paraphernalia, made up cabins and ships bridges to explore, plus an outdoor area. And under 18s go free, so great value. Perfect...More

The small museum is certainly telling a story and a wonderful one too! Go to this beutifull Island of Aeroe and go the biggest city Marstal there you will get an overview of how the sea can tribute to grow of an industry. A pity...More

A great`maritime museum, with lots of pictures, models and information about boats. There is also a wonderful maritime-themed playground and there is sailboat building for kids as well.
