Delightful museum with indoor and outdoor exhibits. Had never been on a submarine or a torpedo boat..... I have now! A really good visit, would imagine children would love it!

If you are a history buff and visiting the city of Aalborg, then a trip to the Springeren Maritime Museum is a must. While visiting Aalborg and the marina in Vestbyen we decided to visit the Marine Museum. It was a good experience for both kids and grown ups, loads of information provided, artefacts exhibited and interactive experiences. The biggest hit with kids were exploring the marine vessels on display and especially the submarine. Can be recommend.

The museum itself is mediocre, mostly models of ships and some history of the town's shipyard. The only reason why it's worth visiting is the Danish submarine and one more ship that you can see inside.

Great for a short visit, many ship models and history. Most exciting was to look inside a real submarine.

There is also a submarine which is kept there and you can go inside and have a look. The place is great for kids as well as it has many apparatus which kids can use to play... More

Visit the submarine and learn what it was like to be closed in with 30 other men in a confined space without enough room to swing a cat by its tail (just kidding). The exhibition gives a good insight into the everyday life of the crew, and there are several good photo ops along the way.
