This area of Aarhus is more intimate. Smaller buildings with lots of small restaurants and bars. A lot of good looking young people, friendly atmosphere and a lot of great food.

I have to agree that this area isn’t quite as unique as it is billed. It’s still a pretty standard European shopping and restaurant district. Nevertheless, it’s a pleasant atmosphere in a mostly pedestrian zone. You’ll find some good restaurants and a few cross-timbered buildings.

My Danish partner and I don't live in Denmark any more, but I used to work every summer in Aarhus and loved the time I spent here - particularly wandering round the adorable Latin Quarter. We hadn't been here for 10 or so years and...More

Highly recommendable to stroll along the old streets, visit a gallery or sit at one of the cafés enjoying a coffee or a lunch

Cobblestone pavement, small half-timbered buildings, tiny shops, excellent restaurants and many people in the narrow streets. All the components for a feel good experience. Walk around, watch the crowd, grub in shops and have a break, simply that's the place to enjoy life! A must...More

Perhaps I'm being a little harsh, but it seems like a typical shopping and eating street to me - would recommend going for specific places instead of insisting on walking down this street. Although it's next to a river so if you enjoy rivers you...More

we ate at Mephisto and Landmad - both really good examples of the best of Danish cuisine and hospitality. Lots of nice boutique shops here but Denmark is expensive enough already!
