If you park your car behind the town hall, it's only a few minutes walk to this stunning catherdral, right at the waterfront. From there a path winds around the water through the forest. This easy stroll will give you excellent views too. Maribo is a typical Danish village, quiet, relaxing with very friendly people.

Maribo Cathedral has just been restored and the huge nave appears true and beautiful. It’s definitely worth a visit. Don’t forget to find Leonora Christina’s coffin. Following the visit to the church it is highly recommended to visit the cemetery. The cemetery is very beautifully landscaped and well maintained. On Kaj Munk’s parent’s grave stone - a oak stub -... If you take an easy stroll down a narrow street from the back of the main square you will come to the Domkirke (cathedral) which is located next to the lake. The Domkirke was recently renovated inside, but dates back many hundreds of years. The interior is simple but elegant apart from the ornate altar. Walk around and notice the... More

We visited the Maribo Cathedral after going to the Saturday Market in downtown Maribo (worth doing also). The church is beautiful in its simplicity. The cemetery gardens by the entrance is worth the stroll also. If you are up to a long walk, pack a picnic and take a walk around the lake in the large park.

Been there for a wedding ceremony. Not only the amazing church, but also the wonderful surroundings and central (to Maribo) location made it a perfect choice for a beautiful wedding.

A majestic cathedral in a small, almost deserted town, going back to the Sta. Birgitta monastery days, surrounded by a park, lake and an old grave yard. Too bad the church was closed. There were some ruins close by , probably connected to the monastery. Peaceful place, good experience.
