Nice shoppingstreet

A good shopping street for everyone with healthy feet, but with all the stairs and steps in the shops it's not welcoming for handicapped. My 18 year old daugther was super happy... read more

A lot of the stores at Ströget is to touristic and not so genuine. They sell cheap imported clothes. But there are some good ones like Illum. Lots of street vendors with nuts, ice cream and juices. Rather. Doing touristic restaurants. Lots of people. A bit crowded sometimes. There are definitely better and nicer streets in Copenhagen.

If I'm doing shopping I rather do it in the shopping center, especially in winter time, where you can take your jacket of and not feel hot with winter jacket on indoors. If you want to do some shopping in Copenhagen's inner city, this is the place, but if you are not into shopping there is nothing special to see... More

A good shopping street for everyone with healthy feet, but with all the stairs and steps in the shops it's not welcoming for handicapped. My 18 year old daugther was super happy with all the different shops around, all the big brands and special designs, but the price level is allover very stiff, even comparing to expensive Norway where we're... This is a street you will use if you are in central Copenhagen especially if you are coming from the Central Station. Close to the City Hall, the shops and restaurants are cheaper and the prices increase as you move away. Eventually you will get to some pretty pricey stores. We are not shoppers but the people watching is good... More

Over-rated as a tourist destination......big stores without much personality. Pedestrianised area, quite busy.

Stroeget street is a great place to do some shopping in the city and if you are not interested in shopping, it's a great place to just walk around and enjoy!

Stroeget is most popularly know as shopping street of Copenhagen though you can buy many things elsewhere also. The Place is probably the most buzzing street in CPH in Days for shopping and in night for some good night clubs. A must visit if you are in Copenhagen. One can also find some good Red Cross stores for buying some... More

We came during their summary festive season and this street was filled with all kinds of performance, from arts to magic show, dance, modelling, food, everything and we just love the vibrant here ! People here are friendly and helpful, I love the fact that the street is closed to cars and we could keep strolling, it's a long street.... More

Staying in Indre By (Inner City)

Neighbourhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
