Having lived in the Middle East, we enjoy museums with Islamic Art. This one is outstanding, with two floors, wonderfully laid out and displayed. We were amazed at their large collection of miniatures, drawers and drawers full in addition to what is on display. Textiles, calligraphy, functional pieces--they have it all. If you like Islamic Art do not miss the... More

This place was amazing. Start with the top floor- it's where the collection of Islamic art is and you'll want to spend a ton of time there. Very well organized, helpful iPad system for translations of descriptions for English speakers. An amazing collection. So impressive that my husband and I couldn't believe it was free.

The street view of this museum doesn't really give an idea of the huge collection inside. But it's not just the items themselves but the way this elegant building has had the museum incorporated in to it. Understated yet superlative attention to detail and design throughout. Started on the ground and first floors with the furniture and porcelain. The staff... More

The David Collection is a free museum located relatively close to the castle. It houses a huge collection of Islamic art and ornate, aged furniture. However, more than that it provides an intriguing insight into a lonely man's life and his obsession. We enjoyed a thoroughly enjoyable time exploring the nooks and crannies of the building which in itself is... More

Islamic art collection in Davids Samling museum is just incredibly amazing. We would never have thought that it is possible to see so much art of Near, Middle and Far Eastern culture as far away from these regions. Each hall was a new discovery for us. We all were fascinated. Good day became even more momentous. And well, here we... More
