We caught the free bus from outside the railway station - nice trip out. The brewery is interesting to see and explore. My friend wasn't very mobile( wheelchair & crutches) , but it wasn't a problem at all to the guides. We managed the tour ourselves but paid to do the beer tasting - 3 special beers - no short measures-... We went to the Carlsberg brewery on a warm, sunny day and had a wonderful time. We opted for the tasting tour that includes one full beer in addition to the tasting done on the tour. Our tour guide Alex was very informative and we enjoyed it a lot. There is a nice outdoor courtyard type area to sit out... More

We took the VIP tasting tour and skipped the self guided brewery tour. Then we adjourned to the bar and had a burger and a few more beers. Then hopped the Shuttle bus back downtown to the train station, Good way to spend an Afternoon. Large gift shop.

I went around Christmas of 2016 with two friends on a cold rainy day and it was great way to spend several hours and learn more about beer. It extremely intersting to learn more about producing beer on such a large scale, but also learning about the history of Carlsberg. We ended our tour at their restaurant where we learned... More

The Carlsberg offers an honest and well-organized visit, with a beer in the end. The problem is that when you left the Carlsberg train station you have NO information about where to proceed. We get there asking people on the streets.

I like Carlsberg beer and I thought that It will be interesting. The area around the old Brewery is going through changes and it is like a big building site. But the centre is open and it is ok. Tickets are not cheap. It is about beer, the history of making beer and it is possible to try their beer.

We looked forward to visiting this brewery. We arrived just in time to catch the last guided tour of the day, bought our tickets and waited. And waited. We then found out the tour guide decided to leave early, and we missed the tour. The self-guided tour is not worth your time. Lots of reading, not much learned. I would... More

I've been to Heineken site at Amsterdam, I will say that was way better than spending time and money for the Carlsberg tour. It does show you the history behind the Carlsberg story, but not much interaction. I was hoping for one of those self-naming bottle souvenir since I do collect them, but they don't have it here. The ticket... More

We visited the brewery expecting there to be more information on how it is brewed and possibly seeing a demonstration, like there are in most factory tours. It was more about the history with some pretty outdated models. Getting there was a bit of a maze, as well, as there was lots of construction and no obvious signage from the... More

History of carlsberg is very interesting, but if you're not prepared to do a lot (and I mean a lot) of reading it's just a lot of bottles and about a ten minute walk, but the beer you can get in the bar is excellent offering normal carlsberg and tubourg plus lovely variations from ales to stouts all in all... Staying in Outer Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Outer Vesterbro
Home to a large shopping center and cinema complex named Fisketorvet (Fish Square), this area includes numerous shops, several restaurant as well a state of the art IMAX theatre. This shopping center is situated at the harbor front, and as Copenhagen is one of the cycling capitals of the world, also sports two of the most interesting bridges in the city: one for cyclists only called Cykelslangen (“Cycle Snake”) which weaves through the modern buildings around Fisketorvet. The other, Bryggebroen, which is both for pedestrians and cyclists, takes you across the harbor to Islands Brygge.
