There is a huge meteorite in the courtyard which sets the tone. There is a dinosaur and rocks, bugs, insects and lots of other stuff to keep you busy for a long while. It's a relaxing museum to visit. Signs are only in Danish.

We spent a couple of hours because it takes time to see a lot of rocks, insects, meteors. Children can draw, watch a short but interesting movie.

Visited here after cycling to the botanical gardens. The huge insect posters drew us in and we were not disappointed. This temporary photographic work features enormous digital prints of insects, so find you can see every hair on their legs. This, along with the geological...More

We mainly visited this building to see the microsculpture insect portraits of Levon Biss (on until November 2017). These photos are spectacular. The museum has an interesting collection of rocks and meteorites..

Interesting little museum, but be warned that many of the exhibits are older, with much of the signage in Danish only. Upstairs houses most of the newer exhibits plus some temporary ones from time to time.

I thought this museum was excellent, the building is unique, with great paintings, there is a huge collection of meteors, there was a neat exhibit of insect photography, and it hooked into the botanical garden. All told, a good place to visit.

The Geologisk Museum across the street from Rosenborg Castle has a world-class collection of meteorites, including a giant one sitting out in the courtyard before you enter. Because Greenland is an autonomous constituent country within the Kingdom of Denmark, the Danish Geological Survey covers it....More

This is a smaller museum for rocks and information on volcanos and earthquakes. Most information cards were in Danish but there were lots of various rock or materials samples and their original location. It is impressive on the numbers of samples and how different they...More

It is a dated, but a very interesting museum of you like science, minerals, rocks and/or gems. Best part for me was to see all the strange mineral formations.
