If you like science and rocks

It is a dated, but a very interesting museum of you like science, minerals, rocks and/or gems. Best part for me was to see all the strange mineral formations.

This is a smaller museum for rocks and information on volcanos and earthquakes. Most information cards were in Danish but there were lots of various rock or materials samples and their original location. It is impressive on the numbers of samples and how different they all are. The viewing takes less than one hour. Close to the National Gallery and... More

Nothing to see and nothing worth visiting for. A waste of time and effort. The building itself is lovely but inside a massive disappointment

We spent a very enjoyable hour or so in this museum. It was fun, informative and educational. My only negative was that there was a few rooms which were only in Dutch that looked really interesting but sadly I couldnt understand (my loss)! Perhaps the rocks room was a little dated but it was a very impressive selection. I'd recommend... More

Not too big so you only really need an hour. Not all the exhibitions were in English, which was a pity. The meteorite in the yard outside is very impressive.

Fascinating exhibits. One of our favorite finds in the city. (Another one is the food market nearby). Maybe it is not for everybody but if you think maybe you'd like it, you will. Our one complaint is that one section is only in Danish. But, the graphics were good enough we even enjoyed that part. Most of it has excellent... More

Fantastic meteorites. Just seeing the large meteorite that was found in and removed from Greenland was worth the visit. Inside, a slice of the meteorite was polished and on display. It took 400 hours to cut just one slice. Very impressive. There are several other large meteorites and rows and rows of minerals. As a geologist, I think I took... More

As last reviewer bit in English to start with rest in Dutch only and very dated, as much potential if modernised and more interactive, very few visitors today

I visited this museum recently Copenhagen. It wasn't on my list of museums to visit, but as I was at the National Art Gallery opposite, and the visit was included in my Copenhagen Card I took advantage of the free admission. The museum looks dated, and the decor is questionable. Some of the signage is in English and Danish but... More

This is a fascinating look not just at geology but also natural history, with galleries dedicated to the Flora Danica, and a special exhibition called 'All things strange and beautiful' (a very accurate description!), as well as meteorites and minerals. One thing was that while some sections are really well captioned in English (the solar system, special exhibitions), others were... More
