For the pure geologist, the large mineral collection will probably be the most interesting part. For young kids, it's probably the dinosaur exhibition. The Wormianum installation is possibly the most unique bit. There is some diversity here, but it's all in mostly small bits. And...More

Along with most of the other things we visited, we arrived here with a Copenhagen card and so admittance was free. Once inside we were pleasantly surprised with the vast collection of minerals that were in the museum, though my girlfriend studies Geology so perhaps...More

In addition to the very good exhibit on dinosaurs there was a really interesting set of rocks and minerals. Denmark has an association with Greenland and so we saw some rocks and minerals rarely seen elsewhere.

This is a relatively small museum, but entry is not expensive and they have some good dinosaur exhibits. The main focus of the museum is geological and there is a wide variety of stones, gems and rocks, the building is also very interesting inside a...More

We had the Parkmuseerne Card which includes the Geological Museum, so our stop was "free". Under those conditions, the hour stop was enjoyable. The museum can't be compared to the best of the natural science museums such as the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in...More

There is a huge meteorite in the courtyard which sets the tone. There is a dinosaur and rocks, bugs, insects and lots of other stuff to keep you busy for a long while. It's a relaxing museum to visit. Signs are only in Danish.

We spent a couple of hours because it takes time to see a lot of rocks, insects, meteors. Children can draw, watch a short but interesting movie.

Visited here after cycling to the botanical gardens. The huge insect posters drew us in and we were not disappointed. This temporary photographic work features enormous digital prints of insects, so find you can see every hair on their legs. This, along with the geological...More

...Definitly go there. The collection is really breathtaking! I spend two hours and a half looking at the collection. The exhibition "Microsculpture" also *really* vault the visit! (till 19.11.2017) And the plus is if you also want to visit the Zoological Museum, you get a...More

We mainly visited this building to see the microsculpture insect portraits of Levon Biss (on until November 2017). These photos are spectacular. The museum has an interesting collection of rocks and meteorites..
