We wanted to go to a Christmas Eve service and we had visited this church earlier when we visited the Round Tower. The church built in the 1640's, after the Tower, is attached to the Tower. The service was entirely in Danish, as you would expect, but some hymns were recognizable. It was a beautiful service and the church was... More

I wandered in and felt as though I had entered some type of magical other world. The interior is amazing. I would suggest that you open one of the doors to the pews and sit down, spend time soaking in the surroundings. I aim to return when there is a concert. Somehow I think it will be worth the effort.... More

Beats me that one review in TA says "not much to see". This is probably the most famous church in all of Copenhagen and has a myriad points of interest. It was corner stone was laid in 1637 and the round tower completed in 1637. It was consecrated on Trinity Sunday 1656. The altar and the pulpit are by the... More

Trinity cathedral was build in 1656 but burnt down about a century later. Not much to see unfortunately!

This is a really beautiful interior, decor is stunning. The organ is amazing, and is behind you as you walk up the aisle. Altar, pulpit and pews are complete works of art. If you are feeling energetic you can walk up the circular ramp to the bell tower. (There is a charge)

Lovely church right in the city centre and connected to Rundetaarn. A peculiar detail is a grandfather's clock in the church. Frequent concerts.

A nice church backing onto the Round Tower. We visited on a Friday at 11am and even got to listen to a bit of the organ!

This is a beautiful, smallish church right next to the Rundetaarn that offers a warm, intimate ambience that lends itself to contemplation. I particularly liked the wooden box pews, while the highly decorative Baroque pulpit was also an eye-catcher. Well worth 10 minutes of your time. Much preferred this church to the more austere cathedral.

A lovely church with beautiful, ornate fittings and decor. It is situated next to the Rundetaarn and is well worth incorporating a visit before or after visiting the Rundetaarn.
