These jars are by Danish abstract sculptor Peter Brandes . They were commissioned by Elsebeth Stryhn of Stryhns Leverpostej and presented to the city in 1998 for the 1,000th anniversary Located near the train station and in a nice square. Art is in the eye...More

Stumbled onto a Sunday market here, great for bargains! Good landmark for the railway and bus stations. Look out for the 3 spires of Roskilde Cathedral.

Coming from a country that loves making big kitsch landmarks, I was surprised to see something big that wasn't kitsch. It's good to see that creativity is still alive and well in the world (just not in Australia). Nice landmark.

These statues are in the square, across from the train station in the plaza. You can't miss them - they are quite large. Its something interesting to look at and that is about it...
