You would walk in this garden all day like me. It is something like you are isolated in somewhere which is peaceful and calming. You can be refreshed by scene across the lake. At the end you'll see a marina where you should have coffee and eat some desserts at this place and just enjoy the silence and that moment... More

Being in the city but still the feel of the country side! Great for dogs, walks, running, a night walk. Got some really good restaurants too, including Ulla Winbladh!

Djurgården is an island just below Östermalm with many sights and sites - but in the spring or during summer you can just take a picknick along the coastline or on the numerous lawns. You will otherwise find 5 of the best tourist sites of Stockholm here - the Gröna Lund tivoli, the Skansen zoo, the Nordic Museum, the Vasa... More

This park is so clean and pristine "just like the majority of Scandinavian parks" that it makes others elsewhere look inferior.

The island is a great place to walk around. It has a few museums, including the fantastic Vasa Museum, a theme park, and Skansen, an open air museum and zoo. The rest of the island is calm and peaceful and feels far away from the city. There's a lovely garden cafe in the middle, and beautiful views around the edge... More

His is my absolute favorite walk I Stockholm City! I been walking everywhere and not a single place is the same as Djurgården. It's a perfect walk and you'll have around 3 small cafe where you can have an ice cream or a hot cup of chocolate. If you're in Stockholm and doesn't know what to do then you should... More

It's nice but i don't think it's something that you have absolutely to see. There much more important thing to do and see in Stockholm.

So incredibly beautiful with all those old houses and restaurants. A bit pricy. A good place to take long walks along the water.

Take a long walk along the outskirts of djurgården starting here. Best walks during summertime. Continue which either way you want from this point and you will see the best side of this town and what incredible calmness we have saved from being all too crowded and destroyed by modern life.

I was there one sunday morning, just for a walk, and I really enjoyed. The day was sunny and being there was like just being in another place. For sure I'll go back there again.

Staying in Djurgarden & Djurgardsbrunn

Neighbourhood Profile
Djurgarden & Djurgardsbrunn
The island of Djurgården and its northern mainland extension, Djurgårdsbrunn, impress with a mix of nature and an abundance of museums, while being located in walking distance to Stockholm’s city center. Djurgården not only invites visitors to take endless walks through a beautiful park landscape without having to leave the city, but also offers an incredible range of entertainment facilities, such as an open air museum which specializes in the Swedish way of life pre-industrialization, the renowned Vasa Museum with its legendary sailing ship, and Sweden’s most famous amusement park Gröna Lund, which is more than a 100 years old.
