We did a boat tout of the canals and waterways of Stockholm. This tour is very well worth the money as the lovely city of Stockholm is viewed from a perspective unavailable on land. One of the most memorable part of the tour was the locks area. Witnessing and experiencing being in the lock that connects the Baltic Sea to... More

It was a wonderful way to see the lovely castles, villas and gardens as you go under bridges and around islands. Well worth the time and cost.

There is a commercially-provided tour that lasts 2.5 hours that takes you from the Baltic Sea to Lake Malaren, crossing under several bridges and moving through one canal lock. It provides views of Stockholm City that would otherwise not be available from the street, and is a pleasant way to pass the time and experience Stockholm.

I highly recommend this canal tour by boat . You got to see the beautiful views of the city of Stockholm by water. Beautiful sceneries. This is just part of the tour that we took in Stockholm. It was a perfect weather when we went there in July.

We booked the combination hop-on bus and canal tour. Little di we know that the canal boat stopped right astern of the ship - fortunate. So while others we queuing up for overcrowded busses, we went astern, caught the canal boat, and got to the city rather painlessly. Stockholm Archipelago is fantastic by water and really can be enjoyed. The... More

Try the Hop and Off boat combined with the bus for an overall introduction to the city. Our boat ticket was good for 2 days of rides...... there a couple of companies and it did not seem to matter each was going to the same places.

Stockholm is probably one of the most impressive city having canals. There are lots of bridges connecting little lands and islands each other. If you have limited time or have some difficulties walking around the street, I suggest you to take a canal tour (certainly the grand one). It costs 250 SEK and 2.5 hours for a complete canal tour.... More

I went in May but even then the area around the canals was cold because of the winds. I didnt take a canal tour but i always enjoy views of rivers and canals more from the bridges and thats how i experienced these too. A walk around the canals is a must

Stockholm is a very nice city to visit. The most beautiful view are from 'the water' where you have a great overview of all the picturesque buildings on the waterfront. Most of the canal tour boats have free wifi, so you can share your pictures immediately with 'the world'.
