If you love old churches, you will like this one. The architecture is beautiful both inside and out, and it has beautiful stained glass windows. They also offer services in english as it is a working church, you just have to check the schedule.

This is an interesting church made all the better if you are able to catch one of the free organ concerts. We were treated to an absolutely lovely free hour-long concert featuring what was clearly the "best of Bach." The organist was phenomenal and we very much enjoyed the concert. Try to catch the schedule of performances if you are in Stockholm.

The guide book says the church is dedicated to St Jacob. Another source says St James the Greater, the patron saint of travelers. Like many languages, the word for James and Jacob is the same. Whatever the bragging rights, it is a very nice church, located to the west of the Kungstradgarden. Built over a long period of time, features of Late Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque intermingle.

Step away from a busy stockholm and the bustling shops to take a moment in this beautiful church.
Standing bold and bright just near the opera house but step inside, for free to find a large calm open space where you can sit and have a peaceful moment and admire it's architecture.

I stumbled in here one afternoon and found a very welcoming and calm atmosphere. Later I returned for a one hour jazz concert (alto sax and piano) that is one of the most amazing musical experiences I have ever had; I could feel the music and the quality of the sound was exquisite. I can still hear it in my head.

This church is in the middle of the old town of Stockholm. It’s bright color and copper green tower can be seen from all over the old town. Inside is very beautiful and the ornate alter screen is magnificently trimmed out in gold.

This church is probably the most centrally located in Stockholm. It is next to the King's Garden (Kungsträdgården) and the Royal Opera.
It is worth to visit. There are also many concerts.
