We have been going to the Beach at Foz for over 12 years now, it's such a lovely place. Restaurants, Cafes and a good place to walk. The changing nature of the sand and the Oceans entry to the Lagoon is spectacular at times. After...More

The beach is great with plenty of options to do and plenty of nice sand to lay/play on. But might be very windy and the water is still ocean (despite it is called lagoon), so it is very cold despite the fact it is very...More

Walk to the beach every day and I vacation. Very pleasant walk with a great view however the beach doesn't offer any coverage and can get rather hot in the day and windy in the evening. Next year and I visit I'll be prepared with...More

We are staying near the Obidos Lagoon and took the short drive to For do Arelho Beach. It was a windy sunny day which enhanced the view of the sea and incredible waves. More impressive today than Nazare Beach.

Expansive beach with small shops and a flea market on some days. Parking can sometimes be hard along the beach, but be patient and a space will come up! Lots of cafés to eat at. Can get busy in places, but plenty of space if...More

This beach has everything: shallow water in big lagoon for small children, sun umbrellas for older, bars and shops, parking places, wind and open ocean and beautiful sunsets. What else do you need for nice summer afternoon? Enjoy!

We love this beach, it is great for swimming, given the calm sea of the lagoon. There are lots of bars if you want snacks and ice creams. Loads of space and parking is usually quite easy too. Great spot.

Wide sandy beach with huge lagoon, obligatory beach huts but lots of space for all, flanked at cliff end with cafes and restaurants. Family freindly. Interesting walks along the lagoon to the baot club and headland leads to isolated coves

Yes we definitely saw dogs on the beach. This was October time. Not sure if they have any summer time restrictions though.
