We stayed a night in the snow castle last weekend. It was a wonderful experience, the castle is enthralling, the designs and sculptures are fantastic. The food in the restaurant was lovely and quick service. The night was spent in suite 1 , the sleeping bags are extremely warm but mummy style which can restrict you moving about particularly legs... The snow castle is smaller than I expected. You will only need 15 mins to go over it, 30 mins top! I also had dinner in the snow restaurant. It is quite an experience eating in a -5 degree environment, worth a try just for the experience. The food is quite good too. I had fish, quite tasty.

The SnowCastle id carved out of solid ice that has been taken from the adjacent sea. It is a breathtaking structure and all of the detail is hand carved. We had dinner in the Snow Castle restaurant which was an amazing experience - excellent food and truly atmospheric....but you'll need to keep wrapped up as the temperature's a constant minus... As a tourist destination it ticks a lot of boxes - it is not something you can 'see back home', although it has a lot of tourists visiting, you can take your time and move so as to have the chance to explore without feeling crowded or pressured (tour bus groups tend to move en masses like flocks of sheep... I went to the snowcastle for the opening ceremony and it was a nice moment with fireworks at the end. The castle is not massive but quite impressive - rooms, bar and corridors nothing much to say expect it is cold !

Enjoyed roaming into snowcastle and best part was small kids ride. It made our little one trip also memorable. Usually little ones get bored if they have to see places like museums...

We go back to the Ice Castle every year. It is a great tour venue with Finnish Design presented with the backdrop of Ice. The decorations of the rooms are amazingly beautiful. The wall carvings of ice atest to the artistic excellence of this attraction. The Chapel is inspiring. The Bar and restaurant are eye catching. Eating a meal here... More

This was a place you don't want to miss. The ice carvings located inside the snow castle were elaborate. The Ice Hotel Rooms inside the castle looked like fun.

After staying two days in Rovaniemi we decided to drive to Kemi. It only spend you about an hour to get there. It is very beautiful. But for my opinion, you should only visit the castle but not the exhibition center. the exhibition center is very small

Quite a lot of lively ice sculptures in this ice castle. There were some snow hotel rooms with detailed sculptures on the walls. We had our lunch at its snow restaurant too, a very unique experience indeed. Good for families with kids.
