We booked a trip to Finland, to experience the ice hotel close by. We also booked an adventure trip with Wild Nordic, who are based @ Santa's Village, to experience a reindeer sled, husky sled and snow mobile. Due to an error with our booking, we needed somewhere to stay on our last night, so having wandered around the complex... More

We went hoping for some Christmas Magic. As a holiday overall it was lovely. The area is great - local town centre has a brilliant museum and science centre for kids that you can get on a joint ticket. The holiday Village itself is disappointing. The cabins are lovely and the staff really friendly. Santa's post office was kind of... More

Nice to see but wouldn't go back. Very touristy. Didn't get the authentic feeling of Finland at all there. Santa Claus was very friendly but some of the staff in the shops were very rude. Accommodation was nice but very hot and stuffy inside. Nice for kids I guess but lots of better tings to spend your money on in... More

We stayed there for 3 nights as a family (2 adults+1kid). The cottage is comfortable enough with little kitchen and in-house Sauna. Breakfast was good enough. Though nothing much in particular. The attraction would be you get to see the Santa Claus and took a picture with him (cost Euro 30-35) but funny that there are 2 Santa Claus from... More

A typical tourist attraction with lots of souvenir outlets, food places and Santa's post office. Good fun and plenty of photo opportunities. Santa is available every day to meet you and the children, although queues can be long on occasion. When we were there they had started building some accommodation for the future. No charge to visit there.

Not much to do without paying a lot! Took a 400m rain deer sledge ride and payed 18€ per person. If we wanted a picture of us meeting santa it was charged 30€. Way cheaper to go to other places to do slegde riding, or snow mobile safaris.

A very touristic location. There you can see Santa's received letters from all around the world, send letters from Santa to your loved ones and but lots of Finnish souvenirs in one of the MANY shops.

Must go in Rovaniemi, along with other winter activities such as skiing or snowboarding. This village itself is quite big, so you can spend half the day here (or the whole day if you're there in winter, assuming you want the area to be lighted when you visit) Send postcards from Santa to your friends and family too :) they...
