Lovely place. There are also some animals there, at least in the summer time. Especially the cafe is great because there are only homemade fresh pies and pastries. Enjoy! They also have traditional lemonade (Laitilan Wirvoitusjuomatehdas), for example Cola without coffein. Cash only accepted in cafe.

So easy to get to, and a place that takes you back in time to the rural life of the area. The interiors of the buildings come alive when you inspect the detail, and I believe they days when children can themselves step back and explore what it was like for their ancestors. I particularly liked the small stone maze,... More

with the old Finnish farming theme the place is really recommended for kids. In summer there are events where kids have the chance to see and interact with real domestic animals or theater acts. Our 2 and 4 years old kids loved the place. There is also a restaurant in there so no need to carry with you too much... More

If you want to experience interesting furrows of the Finnish life in couple of centuries back in time, visit this place. Most recommended to visit in summertime, when there are lots of happenings and different kind of demonstrations about lifestyles of past times. Children love this place with sheeps and goats.

Well made open air museum with plenty of things to do and see for also small kids. Explains well habits of last two centuries country side living of Finns. Located just next to central hospital of Espoo, therefore easy to reach.

You would never expect such countryside idyllic of the days past amidst modern city. The museum is not a big area, but take a picnic and enjoy a sunny day outdoors. There's also a charming museum cafe, some farm animals for the kids to see - and you can visit most of the old buildings to see how people lived... More

Here you can visit an old farmhouse. It was situated to the king's road in the old days. One can really smell the old wood. Their cafe is pretty good.
