One of my favourite buildings in the world

My 3rd visit over a 25 year period and still as amazing as my first. Fantastic example of organic architecture and finish design tastes. A must whilst in Helsinki.

The church is not much to look on the outside as it is just mainly a big rock, but on the inside the is beautiful with solid rock walls ruggedly cut spanning all the way round and lots of natural light entering from the windows that circumference the roof. Not much to do when you are in there but look... More

Within the rock you will find an extraordinary interior. The accustic is marvelous. I have seen some performens of different nature and the accustics are supreme.

When you are doing sightseen in Helsinki, remember to see this church. Even though if you are not fan of churches, go see this.

Looks like a bunker from the outside, but astonishing beauty within! Can get a bit crowded with all the tourists.

What a beautiful church. In the middle of sleeping area, inside of the rocky hill there is a round church. So pure, simple and elegant!

This was beautiful. It was peaceful. The church design in the rock face was astounding. Beautiful light coming through and a great place for reflection.

This was the no 1 tourist spot on our list. Amazing how they carved it out of a solid rock and produced this nice and solemn place. You get inside for a fee..Beautiful place..

Some think it is a bit over rated as the most popular venue in town but I like the atmosphere inside. A truly unique place.
