This is an interesting church which is one of the top tourist spots for visitors to Helsinki. If you have time and are in the area, it is worth paying a few Euros and visiting. This is a very modern church built out of rock...More

This church has a wonderful interior with the fabulous copper wire dome. The outside is just amazing with all the rocks. When you see the water coming down off the rocks you realise the complexity of the building. Worth a visit.

Very unusual, and definitely worth a look. Magnificent stone work throughout. You wont need to stay long but it is something else.

There is nothing to see until you go through the entrance and then inside is a catheral type modern looking place built into the rock. I am afraid it didn't feel much like a church to me but each to their own.

This church, built into the rock, is one of a kind and really a must-see. Sit for awhile and just enjoy the spiritualism, the lighting, the organ. Truly a lovely experience.

The Rock Church was a very interesting piece of architecture. Modern and blasted into the granite hillside. The walls are natural rock and the copper ceiling a beautiful coil. The skylights allow lovely light to filter in. Unfortunately, do to the number of tourists, it...More

Fair question! Official Helsinki web page gives following answer: "Closed during church ceremonies and events." I would recommend to contact tourist office to get detailed information. Good luck
