We passed through it back and forth since we were heading to the old market hall and the our parking was on the other side of the park. We walked through it in the morning when it was sunny and it was very calm and...More

This is a small green area in the city, and it is more like a walking street then a park. A lot of people sitting on the benches, people performing hoping for some contribution.

This park is lively and the gardens are beautiful. It is a great place to watch Helsinki go by. There is a delightful little old ice cream house.

Lot of people, crowded, but really nothing special. Don't, lose your time, there are much more interesting attractions in Helsinki.

I always love walking down the Esplanadi especially on a summer day with all the people having fun, eating and just having a good time. The park leads you right to the Kaupattori by the sea which is spectacular.

This is the gathering place for tourists and locals alike. It was filled with people during our, end of July visit. Lovely flowers in bloom, benches to rest, lawns to sit, ice cream and coffee/tea vendors and people watching.

If smart, expensive Helsinki has a heart, it's the Esplanade. With Stockmann at one end and the harbour at the other, it provides a lovely, tree-lined space to wander or to sit and relax. While some of the shops and cafes are smart and expensive...More

I quite enjoyed walking here as this is a special type of boulevards. It connects the Mannerheimintie with the Market Square. It is interesting though I would advise against going into the souvenir shops as they are quite expensive.

I do believe where the cruise ports you just keep walking west a couple of blocks and you will be in the middle of Esplanadi. Lots of shops, snacks and salons. Public market at the port, too. Local food and art/crafts. Enjoy!
