Good cinema

Finnkinos new Scape theatre has an excellent sound system and a big screen. There are plenty of other screens in this cinema as well, so good variety.

Historical place which has greated a whole new atmosphere. The movie theater is very modern and the museum over 9,000 art works. Excellent place to visit and see a movie or have a cultural art shower.

This place was long time ago tennis courts, now big movie complex, cafe's and museum. Beautiful old building, easy access with public transpotation (bus, tram and metro). Most of the movies are in English, subtitles in both finnish and swedish.

This is a huge and very crowded cinema complex. The biggest in Helsinki. It houses also The Helsinki Art Museum HAM, some other museums, restaurants, bars and fast food places.

Finnkino, located in Tennispalatsi is the best movie theatre in Helsinki. On 29.6.2016 they opened what's called Scape theathre with state-of-the-art picture quality and Dolby Athmos soundsystem. Went to see Indepencence Day: Resurge on the openiin day. 3D picture quality is much improved, sounds amazing and the chairs very comfortable. The movie was bad but maybe worth seeing just in... There is room for popular culture, cafe and restaurants in this exceptionally successful rebuilding of Tennispalatsi, built in 1938 in preparation for the 1940 Summer Olympics. The functionalist building, Which had four tennis courts.Today, The Cinema with 14-theater multiplex is the biggest draw

Tennispalatsi is huge place. If you just wanna see film and grab some snacks, usually everything works just fine. Even if there are lots of people, you dont have to wait too long. Bad thing is that, I think there are quite often some renovation going and some places blocked.

All films are in their original languages. All films cost 12.50 Euro. Very efficient ticket staff Good popcorn If you are in Helsinki in winter, might as well come here. It's a great way to pass the time instead of pubbing until going back to the hostel. Busy.

Quite interesting while lost in a big mall and looking at the map to discover that there is a museum of art as part of the 'shops'. A bit curious I decided to have a closer look. This is where I discovered a really nice and diverse exhibition from nature to self portrait, abstract and contemporary art, spread on 6... More
