We attended a performance of "Eugene Onegin" and loved the whole experience. Ordering tickets online was easy. We stopped at the box office a day early to pick them up. There was a bit of confusion about the online order, but it was quickly sorted out. Our (cheap) seats in the highest balcony were just fine--there is probably not a... More

Small opera with nice setup, modern building with excellent catering. Make preorder for drinks and pastries. Check the web pages, Good seats are quite expensive.

We had pricy seats, more than 100 euros each but it was worth it. Fantastic view and good acoustics. Swan Lake is a classic but with just a great choreography and beautiful and talented dancers you never get tired of seeing it, or listening to the great Tchaikovsky music live. This wasn't the best Swan Lake I have seen but... More

We watched Carmen and it was very nice. Unfortunately the singer of the leading role (Don Jose) had problems with his throat and therefore with his voice. So there was a substitute sang from the edge of the stage. We had good seats on the first balcony in the front row. View was perfect, but the legroom is pretty limited.... More

Located north side of Helsinki City center and next to Lake Toolonlahti. You wont miss it if you are on the northern side of this Lake. A state owned opera house which opened in 1993 which shows variety of international and domestic performers.

The Nutcracker & The Mouse King was very nice to see here. Excellent Opera House. Also, the interlude went well with the restaurant offering. Do recommend!

I went to see the ballet production Alice in the Wonderland with my mother and we both agreed that the whole experience managed to be great. From buying the tickets to sparkling wine in the interval and leaving the parking place with our own car. Everything is planned carefully and we enjoy ourselves very much everytime we visit the Finnish... More

I've visited the Finnish National Opera numerous times during the years. Latest visit was Tristan & Isolde in May -16. Johanna Rusanen was magnificent! 5/5 points (I should say 'stars' because she really is one)! From the past I remember especially the impressive Ring tetralogy (saw it twice) and of course my all time musical favourite, The Phantom of the... More

Wonderful concert hall. Great acoustics. Saw Marriage of Figaro, great production by Finnish National Opera performers and their orchestra. Very special occasion. Booked online in UK and printed out e-ticket, all went well!

The exterior of the opera building is quite ugly, but it is nice inside. I saw a great ballet performance there.
