Οasis of tranquility

This chapel is in the center of Helsinki, in the midle of a very noisy comercial center. But when you get in you feel so detached from all this.

Worth a look, does not cost anything. The chapel is open year round. Doesn't take long to view. You can stop by on the way to other sites.

As mindfulness is super trendy right now, this place is the place to go. Located very centrally in Kamppi, in Helsinki, it is easy to just drop by for 5 minutes to take a break and listen to silence. Open for all, free entrance, and good opening hours. The architecture is original and nice, wood material gives the space a... More

This chapel is situated in the heart of Helsinki. It is located next to the Kamppi Shopping Mall. Small and simple inside.

Bevor we went to Helsinki and I read about it. Suddenly we stand before the chapel, earlier than expected. It´s very cosy and small inside. Much smaller than expected. For me it was a architectual highlight. Awesome. At least I light a candle for my descent father. He was a construction engineer and he would have loved that clean&pure chapel... More

Go to Chapel if you want to sit down for a while in quiet. Light a candle, or sink into your thoughts. The design of the chapel is worth the visit.

A modern chapel created of washed cocrete, glass and wood. Very nice colours, light and forms. Constrast with the surroundings lifts the building up in a very nice way.

This unusual church made from spruce panels with a very simple interior is an oasis of quiet and calmness in a bustling part of the city. It also provides people who can help with problems too which is a novel mode of service delivery! You only need a short time to visit unless you also feel in need of contemplation... More
