At HAM you can enjoy of fantastic exhibitions which change. Today upstairs there is a graffiti exhibition, paintings from Paris experiences of different painters. Nostalgic. A museum shop, restaurants ann a kinotheater.

Helsinki Art Museum HAM is located in Tennispalatsi in Kamppi. The functionalist building completed in 1937, originally with indoor tennis courts, is an attraction in itself. However, HAM is much more than the museum in Tennispalatsi. Almost half of 9.000 works are on display in...More

Located in an entertainment complex, this might be a bit confusing place. The free part of HAM has some small exhibitions that can be hard to understand. The paid (over priced) part houses interesting exhibitions with nice presentation. Not too big a place: easy to...More

An art museum, movie theater and cafe all in 1 building you could spend hours here. The food is goo, the art exhibitions are interesting and user friendly. Overall a great way to spend an afternoon in Helsinki

I guess it all depends on the exhibitions they are having but all in all we did not spend more than approx 1 hour here. Felt a bit 'small' and short for an art museum.

This doesn't look much from the outside. It is hard to find the door, even. But it is an interesting and well laid out gallery when you make it inside. Always good to be pleasantly surprised. Firstly, by some great metal figurine sculptures. Then, by...More

HAM is very close to Kamppi coach station / mall and a lovely place to spend an hour or so on a cold rainy day. It’s located in the same building at the main cinema (Finnkino) but upstairs, and has its own clockroom (free) located...More

Helsinki Art Museum is located in the so-called Tennispalatsi (Tennis Palace), a functionalist building constructed in the late 1930s which got its name from the four tennis courts that were inside. Tennis Palace was intended to host the tennis matches of the 1940 Olympic Games,...More

Quite small museum but sometimes quite interesting exhibitions. This time there were beautiful sculptures by Pekka Kauhanen. Tove Jansson's frescos are always fine. Location is little bit odd but central.
