Maretarium houses a number of smallish and one larger fish tank with local fish species. The displays are not especially spectacular and some species dominate. The entrance is costly.

Dull exposition, relatively expansive... Nothing to do there for more than 20min. Very disappointing actually. During fish feeding no translation available.

The aquarium is rather small, but it's still a good place to spend 20-30 minutes on a rainy day. Go outside when it's sunny.

This is not your exotic and colourful Sea World experience, this is about learning about the Finnish fish, the Baltic Sea, rivers and lakes in Finland, and about their ecosystem, plants and animals. Now that this common mistake is settled ;) I can warmly recommend...More

This Maretarium has all fish to be found in Finland with living surroundings are duplicated in tanks or artificial streams.ve been to Maretarium in Kotka, three hours spend there. You can imagine yourself as Captain Nemo watching fishes, water plants, water animals.
